Waldemar Swierzy is a living legend of the Polish School of Posters. This original 1984 Polish poster is a fantastic example of his painterly style. He designed it for epic British film “Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes” (Greystoke: Legenda Tarzana, Wladcy Malp) starring Christopher Lambert as Tarzan and Andie MacDowell as Jane, plus James Fox and Ian Holm.

Polish posters were printed in strictly limited runs to be displayed in town centres, theatres and cinemas - so any which survive have been lovingly rescued along the way.

For us, nothing comes close to the soulful charm of vintage Polish posters; the colours, the offset lithography, the matt paper. But please note, due to their age, many do bear marks of time.
