Tomaszewski, Henryk | 1947/1957 | Pastoral Symphony
This is a very rare 1957 second issue of a film poster originally designed and printed in 1947 by the legendary artist Henryk Tomaszewski. To say that this poster design was ground-breaking would be a huge understatement. It’s different to anything else that was being created at that time and paved the way for the Polish School of Posters as we’ve come to know it to evolve and flourish.
The film it was designed for was a French film "La Symphonie pastorale" directed by Jean Delannoy and starring Michele Morgan, Pierre Blanchar and Line Noro.
Polish A1 size: 61.5 x 86.5 cm
Condition: very good
